Author and Host of the Black Eye Radio Show discusses Congress, Taxes, The Undesired American Worker & Humdrum Architects

Philadelphia Metro Area/Voorhees, NJ (PRWEB) August 16, 2011

Host of the Black Eye Show, B.R. White (known as ?B? to his listeners), continues to deliver informative messages to the African American community. Previous episodes of the show focused on Drop out Factory Schools, The Ghost of Slavery and jobs. This week, Mr. White tackled Washington, The Undesired American Worker, and the unique role of architects and urban planners in our failing economy and future.

During Saturday?s broadcast titled A Dissertation On the American Way; The Undesired American Worker, the host Mr. White broke down U.S. debt and economic issues into the three core areas: Companies and CEOs, Government Spending and Taxes, and finally The Undesired American Worker and Architects.

In the area of Companies and CEO?s, Mr. White reminded everyone that "CEO?s and business owners take on much personal risk and stress to create entities that employ Americans coast-to-coast. Some CEOs actually innovate from scratch as college students and out of their garages and basements to create multi-level employment opportunities for many Americans out of thin air. While it is true that some CEOs and executives can earn $ 100 million or more in a year, we all need to keep in perspective what America is all about. Meaning, personally we may question if anyone ?needs? to make $ 100 million or more a year; however, when business owners create multimillion and multibillion dollar companies out of thin air creating American jobs for millions along with investor value, it is quite fair to allow the CEO 1% (for example) of the total company profits for their heroic efforts. We also need to remember that these same CEOs and other executive donate ?billions? back into the American way to support charitable efforts that are not covered by government funding or at least add much needed additional financial support". The host was also critical of CEO?s and Executives who fail at their jobs and still collect golden parachutes.

In the area of Government Spending and Taxes, host Mr. White was very clear when speaking about Washington rhetoric. The host suggested "there is no ethical reason to raise taxes since the current tax rates are not the issue. The government revenue would be much improved if CEOs, Executives, and others with of any income level would simply pay their fair share of taxes. What we have in this country is an entire political system unwilling to close loopholes due to lobbies and more important election goals, as well as, an unwillingness to deal with the amount of money the American tax payer is losing due to fraud, waste, and pork". Mr. White also communicated taxes should also not be raised on individuals (middle class or rich) until the government was willing to deal with the unethical practice of individual and companies transferring money around the globe to reduce their tax responsibilities from 35% to 2.4% or less. As a matter of fact, Mr. White also stated "there is somewhat of an ethics problem with our own government when it considers raising taxes again and again on the American people before dealing with the many issues that exist today associated with lost revenue due to waste, pork, fraud and company loopholes. Implement tighter stewardship first and recover stolen revenue lost because of these issues on behalf of the tax payers before raising the tax rates on Joe and Jane Q public."

Finally, Mr. White discussed The Undesired American Worker. In typical spirited fashion of the Black Eye Show, Mr. White was direct when he communicated "the breakdown between all U.S. government entities and businesses has created a situation where American companies feel the load is to great both short-term and long-term to use the American worker. Meaning, between local taxes, state taxes, federal taxes, workers comp payments, unemployment payments, healthcare, unions, special assessments, etc., companies feel it is just cheaper and easier someplace else". Mr. White went on to highlight that the migration of the American job overseas is not tied to the current issues associated with the debt ceiling. The visible migration of American jobs began in 1977 with the cry of the International Ladies Garment Union concerning textile job going overseas. Mr. White said "As we flash-forward 30 years later and almost all textile jobs have left American. Add programming, accounting, architectural drafting, legal work and a few others no much will be left in America. As long as the growing business load is present in addition to the unrest (i.e. healthcare reform details, possible changing tax rates, etc.) in congress, American jobs (i.e. temp, full time, blue collar and white collar) will continue to leave this country". As Mr. White concluded his discussion on the undesired American worker, his final words for Washington were "The 2012 election will be void of Americans caring about slow moving elephants and noise making donkeys. This election will dilute the colors of red and blue to ?clear? allowing Americans to only vote for the candidates offering a transparent plan and a clear plan to solving these problems."

Before closing the show, Mr. White did suggest there is still hope. In short he communicated that basically all Americans are trying to wiggle through a life plan with the same focus areas which are Home Ownership, Healthcare, Transportation, Education and Retirement. Mr. White felt today, cars could be purchased at a cheap price offering 35/40 MPG and cost would come down for healthcare due to healthcare reform. Mr. White suggested the big issue we have in the U.S. is Home Ownership and chasing the American Dream at all cost which includes crashing the economy. Mr. White stated "What I find more interesting is the manner in which Wall Street and our Congress keeps reporting on our housing numbers as the ?big uptick indicator? on our economy. In a country where the union itself has too much debt and the inhabitants have too much debt, why are we driving our economy on a standard that is designed to create even more debt which is the home and large bloated long-term mortgages? This makes no sense.????In order for us to retain housing as a standard for economic growth, we have to turn to our architects to create quality and appealing options for less cost. America is missing innovative architects and urban planners who are capable of creating prefabricated slab homes designs (1, 2, and 3 bedroom) that can be assembled on site and sold for $ 80,000 - $ 150,000 max. President Obama needs to include ?residential infrastructure? in his national infrastructure development plan such that prefab houses can be up and running in days or a couple of weeks through redesigned connections which are retrofitted to quickly connect these new home to the current legacy infrastructure (i.e. quick snap connections)." Mr. White went on to say "Our home ownership architecture today is designed to stress out the finances of the American family long-term making it impossible to save and be competitive globally in the workplace. We have to bring the cost down in all areas of the American lifestyle with housing being first on the list."
