Bibendum has launched an exciting new wine service concept for outside events called The Wondering Wine Company.
This aim of the new company is to revolutionise wine service at sporting, food and cultural events around the UK by offering high quality wines served in innovative packaging solutions by specially-trained staff. The days of a cheap plastic glass of warm house white are over.
The Wondering Wine Company?s Managing Director is Simon Swift. Swift has twenty years? experience in the catering and hospitality industry, most recently spending nine years as head of the MCC?s catering operations at Lord?s cricket ground.
Swift said: ?Over the last few years the quality of food and drink offerings at large consumer events has improved markedly. To meet consumer?s heightened expectations, The Wondering Wine Company will bring a new, dynamic approach to selling wine everywhere from food festivals to international sporting events.?
Bibendum Managing Director, Michael Saunders added: ?This is a fantastic opportunity, both for Bibendum and our existing catering customers, to bring new ideas and energy to a very important category. I firmly believe the Wondering Wine Co can enrich the wine offering at a huge variety of events and I look forward to seeing it in action.?
The Wondering Wine Company will be launched in late spring 2011 with a fleet of bespoke, vintage vehicles. Watch this space for more details.
