An active member of the design and business community in the Washington, DC, area for more than 25 years, Steve Ferretti today joins The History Factory as Vice President of Interpretive and Design. A veteran in the exhibit design field, Steve will be responsible for the concept, design and development of major exhibits, museums and other design projects for clients of The History Factory, a heritage management firm that helps organizations discover, preserve and leverage their history to meet today's business challenges.
"Steve Ferretti and I first teamed on projects almost twenty years ago. I have known and admired his work ever since," says Founder and CEO Bruce Weindruch. "I'm excited to have Steve associated with The History Factory. He'll serve as a mentor to our younger associates, and draw upon his tremendous experience and creativity for the benefit of our clients."
Steve's past work has included exhibitions for the National Park Service, the Forest Service, Dow Chemical and the Smithsonian Institution, and programs for the U.S. National Arboretum and the Bonsai & Penjing Museum in Washington, DC.
"The opportunity to make my partnership with The History Factory permanent and to combine my expertise with that of its talented staff is something I have envisioned for years," says Steve Ferretti. "I look forward to enhancing the tradition of providing our clients the highest level of creativity and service."
Steve holds a degree in environmental design from the Philadelphia University for the Arts. A member of the Virginia Association of Museums and the Society for Environmental Graphic Design, Steve is also the former vice president of the Board of the Friends of the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, Virginia.
